The Charities

When discussing with friends and family about the charities I wanted to support with my row- it became evident that I wasn't just going to be able to choose one.

The three below are very close to my heart and with the help of my supporters I will aim to raise £25,000 for each one.

Plan UK

Protecting the rights of adolescent girls, keeping them safe from harm, giving them access to a quality education and delaying marriage and childbirth means they can break the cycle of poverty to look forward to a brighter future.

For many girls, adolescence brings an increased threat of abuse or violence and a denial of rights and choices, meaning they are often invisible in global and national processes attempting to end poverty.

Our Only World

Our Only World is a UK Registered Charity based in Cornwall. Their mission is to inspire and raise awareness of the fight against marine plastic pollution and its effect on our only world. Their first project is the manufacture of a water refill station. They have been awarded funding from Cornwall Council to site 15 units along the Cornish coastline from Penzance to Saltash. They have started work and are collaborating with communities about installation.

Prostate Cancer UK

Prostate Cancer UK's top priority is funding research to stop prostate cancer killing men. They are investing millions to find better treatments and better tests that can spot fast-growing cancers early, and could be used in a screening programme to save thousands of lives.

This row is dedicated to Lara's father who sadly passed away in September 2022 after a long battle with prostate cancer.
